BENEDICTUM Signs With FRONTIERS RECORDS

July 6, 2010

Frontiers Records has announced the signing of U.S. metallers BENEDICTUM for the release of a brand new studio album in early 2011. The band is currently recording the effort with with producer Ryan Greene (MEGADETH, LITA FORD, NOFX) at his Area 52 studio in Scottsdale, Arizona. The CD will feature guest appearances by Rudy Sarzo (DIO, QUIET RIOT, OZZY OSBOURNE) and Craig Goldy (DIO, BUDGIE). BENEDICTUM singer Veronica Freeman also worked with renowned producer and bassist Jeff Pilson (DOKKEN, DIO, FOREIGNER) to produce some acoustic bonus tracks for the album.

Freeman is joined once again by lead guitarist Pete Wells, bassist Chris Shrum, keyboardist Tony Diaz and drummer Mikey Pannone.

"There is really a feeling of excitement in the air for us," states Veronica. "The new material will be another level in our evolution as a band and we have a lot of confidence in our new label Frontiers Records and their willingness to stand with us on our journey!"

BENEDICTUM has released two critically acclaimed albums so far (2006's "Uncreation" and 2008's "Seasons of Tragedy"),both helmed by Pilson.

Commented Jeff: "My affinity for BENEDICTUM was instant. Upon hearing Veronica's voice and Pete Wells' guitar, I knew the seeds were there for a classic monumental rock band."

The release of the band's new album will coincide with BENEDICTUM's appearance at the Hard Rock Hell IV festival in Prestatyn, U.K. this December alongside AIRBOURNE, UFO, MSG and URIAH HEEP, among others. The band is also hoping to announce a series of U.K. dates around the event.
